This telemetric was presented at the time of the 31 show room of the photograph to Paris, in 1975.
GAF is not the manufacturer of this model. It is probably Cosina which manufactured it on the basis of Cosina 35S. The programmed automatism is the same one on these two cameras. The lens is very close, except the aperture which on Cosina is of 2.7.
The exposure is programmed. The Cds cell is above the lens. There is also an automatism with the flash. On the posterior ring around the lens, of the green numbers correspond to a number-guide. The selection of one of these NG blocks the focusing and the rangefinder on the useful values of distance, by preserving the automatism of the exposure.
The collimated viewfinder is of a particular form if one looks it by front. The small recess makes it possible to have, at the moment of the centring, a reading of the ring of focusing.
In the viewfinder, an area of under-exposure indicates that it is necessary to have recourse to the flash and thus to shift the ring of the lens of the position “A” on the value “NG'' of the flash which you will slip into the shoe.
This camera is very compact and its focal distance allows him a great versatility. It is thus excellent postulating to become a basic companion of pocket.
